ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

In 2018, ÞG Verktakar decided to take a firmer grip on its environmental issues. Its premise was to manage energy consumption and waste disposal during the company’s operations and construction work.

For this purpose, ÞG Verktakar has used the environmental management software Klappir EnviroMaster from the company Klappir, Grænar lausnir hf.

ÞG Verktakar has also set itself the following basic goals regarding environmental issues.

✓ Reduce greenhouse gas emissions

✓ Reduce waste for landfill with improved waste sorting

✓ Maintain responsible use of electricity and water

✓ Measure and disseminate information on the state and performance of environmental issues

✓ Increase employees’ environmental awareness
