“As soon as we started construction, we started piling in these charging stations. I was very interested in solving that problem. We are a big player in the construction market and have sometimes encountered problems related to this that we have had to solve. There is a lot of pressure on these pipelines and they are connected to private property meters. It can knock out when there are a certain number of cars. Then there is not enough electricity for everyone in the house. So we had to find the best possible way to make this happen. We started by laying a bunch of sports tubes that ended up in one sports tube. We got in touch with \u00cdsorka and have also worked with \u00c1rvirkjann here in Selfoss. “The first apartment building we built here in \u00c1lal\u00e6k 17 is actually completely in usage. There are only three apartments out of twenty-three unsold. Ten apartments in \u00c1lal\u00e6k 15 have been sold, which we are going to finish this March. \u00c1lal\u00e6kur 13 is not for sale, but we have sold one apartment there. What makes the apartments that \u00deG works building in Selfoss special is the electricity component and also the bathroom units. Sindri M\u00e1r says that so far no one has returned a new apartment building with charging stations like \u00deG verk is doing in Selfoss. “This is i.a. done this way because there is often a quarrel in residents’ associations about who should pay what. The cost of more charging stations is relatively small and we are delivering higher quality with this.
